Clinical Qualifications

Comprehensive Training & Specialized Expertise

I obtained my clinical degrees in the United States: a Bachelor's in Psychology from the College of Santa Fe (magnum cum laude,2011) and a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from New York University (cum laude, 2013).

My clinical training was completed at prestigious institutions, which provided a robust foundation for my specialized focus on youth care. This included:

  • Training at the children's (and women's) psychiatric units of the Bronx Psychiatric Center in New York, where I gained extensive experience with complex conditions like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Bipolar Disorder.

  • Specialized treatment care at the League Education and Treatment Center, focusing on children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum (Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, PDD-NOS), developmental delays, and behavioral challenges.

  • I also collaborated with the geriatric oncology population at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center under the mentorship of Dr. Jimmie Holland, experience that informs my holistic approach to complex emotional and physical well-being.

Following this, I cultivated youth professional experience across education, summer programs, and disaster response, which has deepened my understanding of youth mental health care and integrated therapeutic care.

I hold several key certifications highly effective for emotional regulation in young people, including: Play Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS, Level 1), Emotional Freedom Tapping Techniques (EFT), and Emotional Intelligence (EQ, Level 1). I am also an adjunct breathwork facilitator.

I believe in preventive mental health care and strive to impart my clinical knowledge to the public with free workshops. I have a monthly (every first of the month) ADHD-Trauma Creative Awareness Workshop and two back to back Saturday 'Breathe With Me' and 'Arting my Anger'. To enroll, kindly use the contact page.
