Booking your first appointment
To ensure we are the right fit for your needs, we have a structured approach to scheduling your initial therapy session. This helps us understand your situation and how we can best support you.
Discovery call
Schedule a free 25-minute telephone Consultation/'Discovery' call to discuss your issues and our approach to counseling and psychotherapy.
Art therapy assessment
If we agree to proceed, we will arrange a mandatory, non-refundable Art Therapy Assessment.
First session & contract
Your first full appointment will be scheduled, becoming a regular weekly slot. A binding 'Therapeutic Contract' will be sent prior to this session.

Whether you choose online or in-person therapy, here's what you need to know to make the most of your appointments with FocusNest.
Online appointments
We offer international online counseling/therapy for young people both within and outside the Netherlands. Sessions are conducted using Google Meet, and other encrypted, HIPAA-compliant methods. Online appointments last around 50 minutes and cost 75.00 EUROS per session (rate may change due to inflation).
Face-to-face sessions
In-person counseling/(psycho)therapy is available in Rheden, Arnhem, and Nijmegen, ideal for those in the Gelderland area. We provide (psycho)therapy and counseling from dedicated therapy spaces in a park in Rheden, Arnhem, and Nijmegen. Our selected locations offer assured privacy in comfortable, peaceful surroundings and are well-served by public transport. Face-to-face appointments also last around 50 minutes and cost 75.00 EUROS per session (rate may change due to inflation).
Fees
Payment Cancelation
After each session you must pay for the session within 7 days; late payments incur 30 Euros/day.
Payments are made either through Bank Transfer or Stripe (for online clients).
- Some reduced-cost appointments are possible but these are on a case-by-case-basis, usually for unemployed people and students – please contact us for information.
Please note that there is a strict, 48-hour notice cancellation policy. In other words, a full charge will apply if you miss an appointment and have not given at least 48 hours notice for absence, regardless of the reason. I am unable to routinely send appointment reminders or receipts for payment. Therefore, I encourage people to set an appointment reminder in their calendar!
Liability Clause
FocusNest Services and its Counselors/Psychologists/Psychotherapists/Therapists provide therapy in such a way that they support the client with untangling their own decision-making processes. They do not give unsolicited advice, but they merely help clients come to their own conclusions. All decisions made by a client are their own responsibility. FocusNest cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the decisions and actions a client has made or will make. FocusNest Services can only be held liable for direct damage, for an amount not exceeding the total costs of treatment that the client has paid for thus far. The only exception is in the case of intentional gross negligence on behalf of FocusNest Services. FocusNest Services is not liable for any damage to third parties resulting from the decisions and actions of the client.
